Who we are

Soquel Creek Redwood began in 1980, when Dave Cury purchased what would become the original Soquel Ranch, drawn by its natural beauty and the idea of preserving the land as a long-term family treasure.

Today, more than 400 acres of redwood forest are sustainably managed under a Non-Industrial Timber Management Plan, with selective harvesting practices that prioritize forest health and long-term growth.

What started as small-scale milling of fallen trees has grown into a thoughtful redwood operation focused on precision, care, and respect for the material. Every log is handled intentionally, milled locally along Soquel Creek, and prepared to specification by a close-knit crew of professionals.

Our goal is stewardship: producing exceptional redwood while ensuring the forest continues to thrive for generations to come.
