Our Misson

Sustainable, Precision-Milled Redwood

Founded in 1980 by Dave Cury, Soquel Creek Redwood sustainably manages 400+ acres under a Non‑Industrial Timber Management Plan. We prioritize selective harvesting and stewardship, milling every log locally with care.

What we do:

  • Mill sustainably harvested redwood from our property, salvage fallen timber on-site, or mill specialty logs you provide.

  • On-site mobile sawmilling- we come to your property to reduce transport and maximize yield.

  • Produce shiplap siding, decking, posts & beams, live‑edge slabs, and custom lumber orders.

  • Finish work: edging, horizontal resaw, planing, and moulding for installation-ready pieces.

Equipment highlights:

  • Wood‑Mizer LT70 (high-capacity bandmill)

  • Lucas Mill with slabbing attachment (live‑edge slabs)

  • Edger, horizontal resaw, moulder, plus mobile sawyer setup

Why choose us:

  • Sustainable provenance: traceable wood from responsibly managed forest or ethical salvage.

  • Local, intentional milling: minimized transport when possible, hands‑on quality control, and faster turnaround.

  • On‑site capability: we can come to properties to mill in place, salvage fallen timber, or produce large slabs that are difficult to transport.

  • Flexibility: mill‑to‑order for bespoke projects or reliable production for larger builds.

  • Craft‑level finishing: architectural‑grade shiplap, decking, posts & beams, and slabs ready for installation.
